Hosting the minyan
We don't have a permanent space yet, so for now we daven in members' homes, a different family each time. A big thank you to everyone who opens their home. Without you there would be no minyan.
What hosting takes
This is a rough guide, not a rule. A smaller home can work too, so talk to us.
- Room for about 30–40 men, and a women's section for about 6–7.
- Space to set up the mechitza.
- An accessible entrance matters: strollers, a lift, and older people who struggle with stairs.
- Kids and pets: the neighbours' kids may get loud, and pets are best kept in another room.
- If you're also hosting kiddush: kitchen space and a table to set it out.
- We daven Friday night and/or Shabbat morning. Shacharit is around 9:30.
What we bring
- Chairs. About 50, stored at Eitan's.
- Mechitzot.
- The Ashkenazi Sefer Torah. It is kept at the Torat Chaim shul, and the gabbai brings it every Shabbat.
- Siddurim.
How it works
- Tell the hosting coordinator early in the week. We start planning on Sunday.
- The coordinator arranges the chairs, mechitza, Sefer Torah and siddurim.
- The location goes out on the WhatsApp group and on this site.

Every Shabbat you host brings us closer to a permanent home. Thank you!
